OPEN POSITION: EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
The term of the current Editors-in-Chief of the ACM Transactions on
Applied Perception (TAP) will end soon. The ACM Publications Board has
chartered a search committee to identify suitable candidates for Editor-in-Chief
of TAP, and to recommend one for approval by the Board.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a well-recognized research record in
inter-disciplinary research that crosses the boundaries between
perception
and computer science disciplines such as graphics, vision, acoustics and
haptics. In addition, candidates should have editorial experience.
Nomination Process
To nominate a colleague, send a summary of candidate's relevant research
contributions and editorial qualifications to the committee chair, whose
email address is interran@cs.umn.edu The committee accepts self-nominations,
which should be accompanied by the candidate's vita and a statement of their
"vision" for the journal.
Deadline
The committee will start evaluating candidates after August 30, 2008.
Nominations arriving after this date are not guaranteed to be
considered.
